Riya was not impressed by the water as my husband dipped her in and out of the waves, the cool water made her little legs jump but it was such a nerve-wracking yet exciting experience for us. As I held her, she gazed out at the blue water. I knew then she was amazed. She looked around at the sounds of the waves and the kids screaming of laughter nearby. I know her eyesight isn’t that great yet but I knew that she saw something beautiful. So now she’s going have to be a beach baby because I love to catch the sun rays, soak in the salty water and bury my feet in the sand.

We weren’t as prepared as we should have been since it was a spontaneous trip (we were there for 10 mins). It made me think of how it’s important to pack for a trip to the  beach. Next time when we decide to take Riya (when she is a little older) to the beach, we will be more prepared.
